Who wins the Champions League this season?

While Real Madrid remains one of the top favorites to win—despite not delivering the expected level of performance in the league, having been eliminated from the Copa del Rey, and having qualified for the knockout stage via the playoffs, there is also Bayern. The German giants are delivering spectacular performances in their domestic league, boasting the highest goal tally among Europe's major leagues.

Then there is Barcelona—a team synonymous with entertainment and excitement. They are displaying magnificent attacking prowess and possess a squad featuring a wealth of young talent, along with a bench so deep it leaves the coach spoiled for choice regarding who to field in every match. The team saw their title bid slip away in the final stages of last season following a dramatic semi-final exit at the hands of Inter Milan—a bitter blow, given they had been the clear favorites. Will they learn from last season's mistakes and rectify the fatal defensive lapses that have led—and continue to lead—to the concession of so many goals?

Nor should we overlook PSG, the defending champions who crushed Inter Milan in last season's final; they remain a formidable contender for the title. Admittedly, they did not get off to the best start in the Champions League this season, but this mirrors the scenario from last year; the team is evolving and raising its performance level from one stage to the next, and the players appear to be developing greater chemistry.

English clubs have maintained a consistent presence in the Champions League final—or at least the semi-finals. This season, represented by Arsenal and Liverpool, the English contingent hopes to claim the trophy through an ambitious Arsenal side. The Gunners are eager to win this tournament for the very first time and achieve a historic double by pairing it with the Premier League title—a trophy they haven't lifted in over twenty years. Meanwhile, Liverpool—who do not appear to be at their absolute best across any competition this season—are desperate to end the campaign with a piece of silverware; specifically, a major trophy that could serve as redemption for manager Arne Slot, potentially securing his tenure for at least one more season. However, the ambitions of both teams require overcoming major clubs—specifically PSG, followed by either Bayern or Real Madrid for Liverpool; and Sporting Lisbon (the less-fancied side on paper), followed by the winner of the Barcelona vs. Atlético Madrid tie, for Arsenal.

The excitement continues!
